GDPR explicitly requires staff training, yet many are still at risk
The General Data Protection Regulation replaces the Data Protection Act on 25th May 2018 and explicitly requires all companies that deal with or collect personal data to have GDPR specific staff training in place. Despite these explicit requirements, many companies still believe that existing data protection awareness is sufficient and that it’s just not necessary, leaving their organisation at serious risk of penalty.

Development Director, Kim Whitmore, has been awarded Learning Designer of the Year at the Learning Technologies Awards 2017. Kim has a long pedigree in eLearning instructional design. Working today for Engage in Learning she traces her ID achievements back to 1985. Never one for hogging the limelight, Kim has previously let her work do her talking, which includes eight gold awards and countless silvers.

This year we were delighted to be exhibiting at the World of Learning Conference and Exhibition. It was great to see so many familiar faces as well as meeting new customers and others in the industry. Not only was our wide range of ready-to-use courses of much interest, but our product demonstrations were also very popular, with our LMS solutions and unique course features being frequent topics of conversation – and the exclusive offers for visitors certainly seemed to go down well too!
