This customer is an international, research-based, pharmaceutical company, based in Parma, Italy. They have over 80 years’ experience in the field of respiratory, neonatology, transplant medicine and rare diseases. With a turnover of €1,768 million they are among the top 50 pharmaceutical companies in the world. In the UK, they employ just over 400 dedicated employees, who are based at a head office in Manchester, the Research and Development centre in Chippenham, and across the UK.
What the customer was looking for
This organisation began working with Engage in Learning around 6 years ago. In this time their learning requirements have developed and grown, alongside the company. Initially, they were looking for an LMS system which could provide all of their online learning requirements. So, they went out to procurement to find the right company for the job. The criteria was great content which had bespoke options, and of course, a good price.
How we helped
Engage in Learning came out top following the procurement process. According to the company Learning and Development Manager, we offered the greatest package, with excellent content and a great price. We also provided an outstanding standard of customer service. From the beginning, our Account Manager, Mark Edmonds, impressed with his friendly, helpful and always available, approach.
Using our in-house LMS, the company took a package of 100+ courses they could pick and choose from. We were also able to personalise the courses as and when required, to fit with the company’s branding and specific learning requirements.
The Learning and Development Manager was thrilled with the customer service they received from us. Having dealt with Mark and also Nikki Malone, our Customer Services Manager, they found the team here to be fantastically reliable and respond almost immediately to any query or concern. No matter what the issue, they always deal with every query, quickly and efficiently.
After working together for around 6 years we are still continuing to develop the package for this company and together discovering new ways to get the very best out of the system, according to their changing learning needs.
One of the greatest successes has been the ability to use the system on mobile devices such as mobiles and iPads. This method of learning is hugely popular. Especially with millennials, as they are so used to using these platforms. By making the system easy to access and stuffed with engaging content, this is encouraging employees to actively search out training and development, without being prompted.
